
1) Identify and evaluate infrastructure options to determine supportable system projects.
2) Identify and advance a regional transportation plan that specifies priority projects based on defined criteria (moving people, political reality, economic development objectives, connectivity, benefit-cost, etc.).
3) Identify and sponsor funding mechanisms and other support to accomplish priority projects.
4) Conduct activities necessary to sustain and strengthen organizational effectiveness.

- Organizational sustainability – Increase revenues and/or restructure to achieve an effective and sustainable organization
- Air Quality and Designation – Develop and promulgate a proactive strategy for maintaining attainment designation status
- HERO Roadside Assistance Program – continue to seek funding for an adequate roadside incident management program, which will increase safety and minimize congestion
- CAMPO – Interact with CAMPO on the implementation of:
- Decision tree – ask the right questions and demand definitive answers that prove cost effectiveness of major projects.
- 2035 Plan – advocate for a realistic and effective planning process that will create a long-term plan that maximizes mobility of both people and commerce and minimizes the burden of unnecessary regulations.
- Legislature – Work with local business groups and urban mobility groups to:
- Fund Prop 12 bonds – find a source of funding to underwrite this $5 billion bond package and ensure our region gets its fair share
- End diversions – demand that mobility revenues not be spent on non-mobility issues
- Index gas tax – support legislation that increases the state gas tax by an appropriate inflation index
- Remove moratorium on CDA’s – remove restrictions from region on use of comprehensive development agreements where appropriate
- Promote appropriations to Rail Relocation Fund
- Promote Local Option Funding proposal
- Support TxDOT
